Davis is a trial lawyer with Poisson, Poisson & Bower, PLLC that represents clients that have suffered catastrophic injuries or families of those that have lost loved ones due to the negligence of others.  He has handled cases in nearly every aspect of injury law.  

Davis is licensed to practice law in North and South Carolina.  Over his career, he has tried cases involving car wrecks, premises liability, products liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death.  

In 2021, Davis was elected by his peers to be the State Bar councilor for District 21, representing Anson, Richmond and Scotland Counties on the North Carolina State Bar. His father and grandfather were elected to serve in the same capacity for 18 years, from 1997 to 2014, while practicing law in Anson County, and his great-grandfather served in the same role for New Hanover County for many years until he was elected to be president of the North Carolina State Bar in 1951.

Davis followed in the footsteps of his father and sister in joining the law firm of Poisson, Poisson & Bower, PLLC. Like his sister, Stewart Poisson, he is a third-generation lawyer to practice law in Anson County and a fifth-generation lawyer to practice in North Carolina since 1857.
