Cynthia Gaddy Celebrates Three Years at Poisson, Poisson & Bower

Oct 31 2019

Cynthia Gaddy started three years ago with Poisson, Poisson & Bower as the firm’s bookkeeper.

Where are you from?

Rockingham, NC

How did you come to work at Poisson, Poisson & Bower?

I had been working with R. W. Goodman Furniture Company as a bookkeeper for 8 years and the store went out of business after 75 years. I began looking for a job and found PP&B. I love my job and the Poisson family. This was a God sent job.

What is your job?

Bookkeeper

What do you like best about helping people in this area of the law?

I don’t have direct contact with the clients. I am, however, very passionate about referring people to PP&B. I do always mention that this is a family business and they really care.

What is the hardest part of your job?

It isn’t a difficult job. I suppose the most difficult is at year end and the first of each year trying to handle everything by myself.

What is the craziest memory from your time with the firm?

When I first came to work here, I came in one morning and was the first one here. I went to the room where I was to disarm the alarm system. I ran into a problem and could not enter the room to disarm the alarm. The room was locked by a combination lock. I was in the dark punching numbers etc. The police came but it took a few minutes. After all that activity I went to the restroom. When I came out of the bathroom there stood an officer. I have not been locked out of that room since that event.

What is your favorite thing to do when you aren’t at the office?

I love old black and white comedy shows. My favorite is “The Andy Griffith” show. I have seen every show probably 100 times, but they are so pure and clean. You can’t find this kind of comedy today. I attend church, love music, shopping, and spa time.

What is your best piece of advice for someone seeking an attorney?

Poisson, Poisson & Bower is a firm you can trust.
