Kathryn Scarborough focuses her practice in the area of workers’ compensation and unemployment benefits claims. A native of Anson County, Kathryn has worked at Poisson, Poisson and Bower in various roles since 1999 and has established a reputation as someone who understands and cares about the needs of the people in this area.
Kathryn first began her work at Poisson, Poisson and Bower in 1999 when she joined the staff while in high school. After college, Kathryn returned to the firm and worked in the workers’ compensation and personal injury departments for over a year before attending law school. It was through this experience that she developed an interest in these areas of law, witnessing first-hand the unfair handling of claims by insurance companies. Kathryn enjoyed working to help ensure that the people in her community received fair and just compensation for their claims.
Kathryn is part of the firm’s team of attorneys that collaborate daily on their workers’ compensation cases to provide the most thorough representation possible. She also represents clients in unemployment benefits claims. Outside of work, Kathryn volunteers with various organizations in the community, including Uptown Wadesboro, Inc., where she serves as Vice-Chair, and the Anson County Historical Society, where she serves as Treasurer.
